Located at 256 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603, Pipinelli's Pizza Parlor operates as a pizza restaurant serving Poughkeepsie in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 amβ10 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Poughkeepsie is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Poughkeepsie follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This is THE iconic classic NY pizza but without the chaos of going to the city. First off, the place is beautiful. Great vibes and staff. The sauce is FRESH and homemade; not bitter, not canned. The dough! You can taste the richness from the different flour they use. I love the toppings selection. I either go nuts with it or just get a plain pie with garlic and sesame seed crust. Their Johnny's Pie is an amazing tribute to Mt. Vernon pizza legend. The fried mozzarella...omg. The meatballs? Don't get me started because I'm just sitting here making myself hungry and it's 11:30 at night.

βοΈββββ (1 star) on π I recently moved to the Poughkeepsie area and chose this spot based on the strong reviews. As someone who has formal training in pizza-making and takes the craft seriously, I was genuinely looking forward to trying it. Unfortunately, this was a major miss. We ordered two pies: a Pepperoni Pie with mushrooms and burrata, and the Bronx Pie. Bronx Pie: The concept is solidβvodka sauce, basil pesto, mozzarella, and parmesan should create a well-balanced, layered flavor profile. The bake itself was actually done correctly, with a decent structure and crumb. However, the execution on flavor completely fell flat. It lacked seasoning, depth, and contrast. With those ingredients, there should be richness, brightness, and balanceβ¦but instead, it came across as muted and underwhelming. Technically acceptable bake, but uninspired and not worth ordering again. Pepperoni Pie (with mushrooms & burrata): This is where things really went wrong. The underside of the pizza was completely burntβfully blackened across the entire base! This wasnβt a case of a proper New York char or leopard spotting from a high-heat oven. This was an overcooked bake that went well past

Pipinelli Pizza absolutely nailed it. The pizza had the perfect amount of char just enough to give it that crisp, slightly smoky bite without overpowering the flavor. The sourdough crust really stood out, bringing a subtle tang and depth that felt authentically old world. You can tell thereβs real craftsmanship behind it. Will be returning to try the speciality pies!

Food: Pipinelliβs was excellent. The pepperoni pie was the one that really sold me. The crust had that thin, crisp bite with a little char around the edge, and the pepperoni brought enough salt and richness to make every slice feel full without turning greasy. It still had structure. Nothing sagged, nothing felt overloaded, and the whole pie ate the way a really good pepperoni pie should. The clam slice was just as strong in a completely different way. Lighter, more garlic-forward, and built around that white-pie richness without feeling heavy or muddy. It had a clean briny flavor to it that kept it interesting and made it easy to keep going back for another bite. Even the Caesar stood out. Crisp romaine, plenty of cheese, and enough dressing to actually taste it without drowning the whole salad. It felt fresh and sharp, which was exactly what the meal needed next to the pizza. What I liked most is that these were three very different orders, and all three felt carefully done instead of one item carrying the rest. Service: Easygoing and smooth. The meal came out without any weird gaps, and the whole experience felt relaxed in a good way. Summary: Easy 5/5. The pepperoni pie had g

This place does it right. A place that is both elevated and actually good- New York style pizza served with flair. I had a plain slice which was covered in freshly grated Parmesan, olive oil and fresh basil, and a Tie dye slice which had concentric pinwheels of marinara, vodka sauce and pesto. I took a pepperoni Sicilian slice home and am exercising restraint not to immediately devour. Many other creative and unique pies, as well as espresso, soft-serve gelato. Very friendly staff. Thoughtfully retro decor. Very excited to return. β¦ and happy first anniversary!
